Ducted Fan Coil Individual Room Temperature Controls
Individual Room Control RTC

Introducing the RTC
The RTC radio frequency controlled damper system has been designed to provide individual room control for up to 6 rooms from 1 fan coil unit. Each room will have its own radio-controlled thermostat, which will turn the air conditioning unit on, open the damper and allow conditioned air to enter the room until the room is satisfied. If other rooms require conditioned air the dampers will open to these rooms and the fan speed will increase.
Advantages to using the RTC system
Using the radio controlled thermostat system removes the need to chase walls to hide the control wiring and re-decorate afterwards. The thermostats are located in each room requiring air conditioning and the receivers in the loft or office ceiling void next to the fan coil unit. The maximum distance between the thermostat and receiver is 30m.
Dampers
The motorised dampers are low voltag and can be mounted on the front of the fan coil. If the room or zone is large and 2or 3 dampers need to supply the area the dampers can be linked to the same thermostat.
Reasons for using the RTC system
- If there is only room for one condensing unit and there are long pipe runs to the bedrooms or small offices requiring air conditioning a larger ducted unit can be used to serve all areas with individual room temperature control.
- An open plan office, already served by ducted air conditioning units, is divided up in to smaller individual offices. Then with an RTC system individual area control can be achieved.
